Very curious. very curious indeed.

Briefing:

Lady Lightwave is a superhero. She transmits positive energy through photography to stop evil from happening in the world. She has the power of flight, time travel and can create blinding force-fields with the click of a shutter on her camera.
Her weaknesses include falling in love, being easily distracted and forgetfulness. She attempts to live the somewhat normal life of an unemployed college graduate.

Backstory:

Once upon a time, an infant fell from the sky in a golden green satchel and landed in the middle of a great phosphorescent ocean.  The babe was carried into the waters of sunlight by a school of dolphins that placed her on the back of an ancient sea turtle who held over 10,000 years of beautiful memories. The turtle swam around with this sun child for 40 moons until he had passed on every drop of this history. Finally content with his time on earth, the great sea turtle crawled ashore a sunburned island and fell asleep ready for his next life. A young three-year old girl wept tears of joy for the turtle and clambered off his back.

Within one sun a young Hawaiian couple stumbled upon this beaming blonde child drawing ancient hieroglyphic scenes into the sand with a feather dipped in phosphorescence.  The young child was draped in a golden color and appeared to hover above the sand. Unable to have a baby, they believed this girl was a gift from the goddess Pele to be their own so they took her in and raised her on sunshine and fresh coconut jelly with a love as strong as any parents’ could be.  They called her Lightwave and taught their curious daughter all they knew about the arts and ways of the world.  At age 12 her father gave her a camera ‘to see what light you see when I‘m not around’.  When Lightwave turned 16 her mother tied a golden watch around her neck, kissed her cheeks, and told her curious daughter to try to act like a lady.

It was on her 18th birthday that Lightwave’s parents decided to tell her the truth about how they discovered her. They brought forth a green stretch of fabric that illuminated from their hands, and explained the scene they walked into 15 years earlier. Lightwave smiled a bright wonderful smile- Oh!-she said- I thought I was missing something!- and tied the fabric around her neck.  Instantly she radiated a positive energy unknown to humankind and disappeared into the sky with a flash of sunlight.

Most recently:

Lady Lightwave was busy wallowing in a pool of tears and longing when she lost tabs on Brenton Pressley, aka: BP OIL KING.  She knew Oil King was getting greedy and reckless with his rigs…so when she saw on CNN news of a catastrophic oil spill that was ripped out from the first quadrant of the world Lady Lightwave felt personably accountable and vomited her box of chocolates at the sight of oil drenched sea turtles carelessly murdered at the wake of Oil King’s hand. She promptly dried her tears and renewed her duty to protect this earth planet she fell into…a water weighted world full of beautiful lands and people. Lady Lightwave quickly tried to patch up her incredibly human heart and told herself not to fall in love with any more fictitious hearts for the sake of protecting the planet. She has since flown to the farthest quadrant of the world, the 6th, with no plan at all except to run with a flow of positive energy and to  illuminate the beauty of this un-lonely planet.

Arch Enemy: Adventure Girl

The result of a meteor collision in the hyper-speedway outside of planet Corporati, famous for its pearl dentistry, is what brought Adventure Girl down to planet earth wearing nothing but a bikini in her late teens.  Landing in LA, California she quickly grew quite accustomed to earth, but as she garners fame from a winning smile Lady Lightwave is constantly annoyed from her glorified well contracted adventures.   Adventure Girl, it seems, is always a toothache in Lady Lightwave’s incredibly frugal lifestyle.
